For me, there was a calming nature about Assisi that immediately put my mind and my heart at ease. It was as if St Francis was still extending his message of peace to all creatures who were there. Even those who were not Catholic made comments that there was just something spiritual about the place.

And for me as a photographer, Assisi offered incredible opportunities for capturing its beauty. Early mornings and late afternoons provide soft, golden lighting that enhances the textures of the ancient stone buildings and the lush greenery surrounding them. The hillsides and panoramic views of the Umbrian countryside further enriched the photographic experience. The contrast between the quaint, rustic architecture and the expansive blue skies creates striking images that speak to both the heart and the eye.
